[update 3/23/2010 12:39PM SLT] YouTube videos are now working again but it requires using the SL viewer; Snowglobe 1.3.2 (recommended) or SL Viewer 2Beta.
No change or update is required on the TVs, the TVs still work the same way. Only requirement is using an SL Viewer that supports flash. We are now using flash to stream YouTube.
Snowglobe is Linden Lab's Open Source SL Viewer with Flash support.

Third party viewers based on Snowglobe or Viewer 2 Beta will also work. We recommend using Snowglobe 1.3.2 or a viewer based on it.
This is only a temporary solution while we find a more permanent fix that will work on all SL viewers. Unfortunately, Emerald viewer won't work with this. Upcoming Emerald versions will have flash support. And I'm still running tests to find a solution that will work all SL Viewers (mostly 1.23.5 and all viewers based on it like Emerald). This is a temporary fix for now. Thanks for the support.

Unfortunately YouTube is still not working in SL, this is an issue affecting all TVs in SL. We are still looking into the issue. I will post more updates here.

it is 3-21 and still no youtube .. is there a reset we need or is the problem not solved ?
3-21 hope you will soon solve the problem. Bought the tv for having fun but now...
Sorry it took so long for me to respond, it was a long weekend working on it. But we now have a workaround on it. YouTube now works with Snowglobe 1.3.2 or using viewer 2 Beta. See the update on this blog post.
Installed viewer 2, but youtube still doesn't work.
