YouTube is now Working Again in MP4

YouTube is now Working in MP4 for viewer 1.23,Viewer 2.1, Emerald 1634, Emerald 2439. No TV update is required.

We will continue testing it for performance.

(Temp Solution) We are now Streaming YouTube in flash

I changed our server to stream all YouTube videos in Flash while we work on the YouTube issue. For now, all the TV versions are streaming YouTube videos in flash, no TV update is required .

As a temporary solution, using an SL viewer with Flash support should get YouTube on any TV version.

The flash videos may not work on some computers due to a bug in the snowglobe media plugin.

We are still working to get to YouTube back to normal in MP4.

YouTube Issues

Unfortunately YouTube stopped working again in SL. YouTube made changes that made it stop streaming in MP4.

YouTube still works in Flash format for Snowglobe based Viewers like Emerald Beta 2270 and Snowglobe 1.3.(But it doesn't work on Viewer 2.1)

To enable flash on the TV click on TV Main Menu->Options->Use Flash.

The YouTube issue is SL wide, we are still working on it and hope to find a solution. I will keep posting updates as we make progress.

Solution To Radio Issues: 500 server is not reachable (Spade, Lily Radio)

We found out that the radio streams saved to Bookmarks on the Spade and Lily Radio, are giving errors and not working anymore.

To fix this issue; Search the radio for the streams (using rsearch) and save them again. This will get them working again.

Shoutcast changed the IDs of the radio streams, so the old streams saved in the Bookmarks no longer work because they have a wrong shoutcast ID. This is why it gives the Error message when the radio tries to play the stream. Adding them again from search corrects the issue.

We are still looking into the issue and will post more updates as find out more.

How To Back up your Bookmarks before Update to DreamTV Mini

Before you Update your YouTube TV PRO or Remote to the DreamTV mini, you can backup your YouTube Bookmarks.

To back up your Bookmarks:

This works for the YouTube TV PRO or Remote.

Click on Your TV Main Menu -> WebTV button ->

Open the Web Page -> Select Go to page

On the Web page click on Bookmarks

then on the Bookmarks page, Click on Export List to My Playlist Notecard;

This will display the list of videos in your Bookmarks in a format ready for 'copy and paste' to the My Playlist Notecard inside your TV or a notecard inside SL.

Copy the list from the page and paste the list to a blank notecard in your SL inventory as a Backup.

After you update your TV, simply copy the list and paste it on the notecard inside the TV called 'myplaylist' . This will make all the videos in the list instantly available on the My Playlist Channel of the TV.

After you have copied the list to the myplaylist Notecard. Click on your TV Main Menu -> My Playlist button, you will see all your saved videos listed again in the My Playlist Channel. From My Playlist you can browse and play the videos on the list, or Auto-play all of them.
